Vision
To teach and mentor in order to send forth Dance Ministers into their calling with excellence.
Assignment/Mission
PDCM is called to empower and equip those who have never taken a dance lesson (Ballet, Jazz, Tap, etc.) before or who have taken classes here and there, but are not proficient in any dance form. PDCM is an unique out-of-the-box ministry. Our passion and assignment consists of teaching, demonstration and networking.
- Teaching : At the heart of PDCM is discipleship and relationship. PDCM teaches the substance of Dance Ministry based on Biblical Principles.
- Demonstration : PDCM teaches and demonstrates how to dance safely, effectively and powerfully using the expressions that come from within. In other words we teach dancers how to effectively dance their praise with the ability God has given them (1Pet. 4:11).
- Networking : PDCM is a network where we can build each other up and come along side one another to learn how to effectively evangelize the lost and minister to the Saints where God has planted us. PDCM also believes in supporting and extending ourselves to other ministries, teachers, networks and Praise Dance/Liturgical Dance communities to partake in their events and to support all those who labor in Dance Ministry. We are all apart of the same body (1Cor. 12:15-26).
To accomplish this assignment we commit to train, encourage, equip, and be an accessible friend and mentor to all who God sends to us.

Our History and Our Blog
PDCM was originally an informational website started in 2005. It was a centralized place on the web where dance ministries were listed and highlighted for their labor of love within their communities. After a while It started to gain momentum and people started to ask questions about the ministry of dance. These questions came so often that in 2007 PDCM took it to WordPress and began to teach about the ministry of dance. Since then God has been opening doors for more opportunities for PDCM to teach and empower Dance Ministers everywhere.
Our blog posts is where PDCM found its voice. Our blog will help you understand what Dance Ministry is and how to explain your ministry to those who want to know the reason why you express your hope by this method. Our blog is a resource that will help you put into words what God has put in your heart. It will teach you how to:
- Glorify God in your body and in your spirit (1Cor. 6:19)
- To be effective in evangelizing the lost
- To be effective in ministering to the saints and serving others.
Where is PDCM located?
PDCM is based in Hudson Florida. We serve the communities of Hernando County, Pasco County, Tampa, Dade City and surrounding areas. If you live in any of these areas PDCM is a great resource and ministry training outlet for you. If you don’t live in any of these areas, but desire to foster a relationship with PDCM contact us for more information on how we can serve each other.
Advance Your Dance Ministry! Its FREE
PDCM is also a traveling dance and teaching ministry. Our teaching ministry provides a wide variety of teachings on the ministry of dance and individual spiritual growth. Our teachings on spiritual growth are not only for those who are in dance/arts ministry, but for every believer. Workshops, conferences, seminars and the like are FREE. All we ask is if you would like for us to host an event at your church or to teach that you give us at least 3 months notice so that we can seek the Lord and make the proper arrangements on our end.

Praise Dance Central 
i am a praise dancer leader and also have a ministry of flags, i have some material to back up the meaning of colors but some colors are not mentioned in the but just symbolic like orange for instance, but i know orange alone with red and yellow are fire. and find myself being questioned by some of the “so more educated saints in my church. but i glad because the information or scripture i had give for a color did not have anything to do with the color, so i felt really dumb but just caused me to research information even when given to me by someone i trust. but can you help with finding scripture for every color, i never want to give the wrong information again or nor do i want to teach the wrong information
Hello, sure I can help you with that. This is an excellent question and I am sure others may be wondering the same. For this reason I have answered your question in a post. lol…I know what you mean about having scriptures that have nothing to do with the color. I was taught many scriptures about color that had nothing to do with the color or the scriputre was given just because it had the name of the color in it. Sorry to disappoint you but there is no such thing as congregational dancing. All scripture is God breathed, including the 27 books belonging to the New Testament church. You do not have any biblical authority for music let alone dancing. Jesus and his apostles sang hymns!

No disappointment taken. It is quite evident to me that you don’t have a clear understanding of what ministry is. It is also evident that the deception and error of tradition has taken root in you. It is my prayer that Jesus delivers you from them all with the truth of His Word. I am not trying to insult you, just opening your eyes to the truth from the fruit you have displayed in your post.
As it relates to congregational dancing, I don’t know where you got that from in my post. No such thing is mentioned. However, according to Scripture this is an acceptable way to praise the Lord. Please study everything in the Word regarding praise and worship, both OT and NT.
Now regarding the New Testament church, as Christians the entire bible is valuable not just the NT. The OT teaches many things about praise, worship and how to honor God. It teaches us about His holy character and the way he divinely deals with man.
Singing is not the only way we are admonished to praise the Lord. When studying the bible it is important to take into account the whole bible because all scripture including the OT is given by inspiration from God. Please read your bible and ask God to open your heart to truth. To be as dogmatic as you are regarding praise to the Father is heartbreaking. God honors every talent He has given each and every one of us. Now that we are believers, it is a privilege to honor Him with it. We should honor God with everything He has given us (our thoughts, lives, relationships, money, talents, abilities, food, children, knowledge…everything). This is exactly what Dorcas did in Acts 9:36 & 39 (NT by the way ). God gave her a talent to be a seamstress and she did it to the glory of God. Providing clothes for the people of God is ministry (service). That is awesome! Dorcas did what 1 Cor. 10:31 teaches us to do and that is to do everything that we will ever do to the glory of God. Dorcas found something she knew how to do and she honored God with it (Ecc. 9:10) doing it with all her might. This is what we all should be doing (whether we sing, dance, engineer, build things, clean, sew, paint.. whatever it is) How better off we would all be if we kill pride and the one track mind of tradition and use what God has given us to glorify Him and serve others. This is real ministry to one another as believers. If the talent of dancing helps bring joy and comfort to God’s people, then dancing I will do and all the praise dancers in the world. Dogma, tradition, and ignorance to the truth (that is clearly spelled out in the bible) will not stop it.
As it relates to biblical authority…. don ‘t really see your point there. In no way did I ever say that I am the end-all and be-all to music (or dance for that matter). This site is about praising God through dance according to Scripture, not music. If you can only sing, sing your heart out to the Lord. But those of us who have the ability to sing and dance, we will do it with our whole hearts to the Lord as the above scriptures teaches us.
As believers we are supposed to lift each other up, not tear each other down. Scripture teaches us that the test to see who really loves and serves God and the brethren is by fruit (Matt. 7:16). What fruit are you showing? I know, but do you?
May God help all of us to love one another for this is the fulfillment of the whole law.

I just want to commend you on your above comment about dancing. I don’t dance, but clearly dancing, playing instruments, and singing are some of the ways we should praise God. Some of us are so hung up on our personal opinions that we fail to see the truth. There are more serious problems in the body of Chist that needs attention and dancing in the church is not one of them. If we can dance when we are happy about worldy things, then we can dance to show our appreciation for God and spiritual things. There are no scriptures in the bible against dancing before the Lord. However there are scriptures that are for it. Remember Matt. 7:6 and keep on praising the Lord.

Hi Pastor Hunter, You clearly did not understand anything I said. Not once did I ever give my opinion. Opinions must be backed by scripture, not once did you justify your position through scripture. There is no such thing as “praise dance” . NT is completely silent on mechanical instruments as it is on dancing. OT sanctions animal sacrifice and incense burning these were all once acceptable to God, Our God chose not to continue these practices and all for good reason.
If a doctor gives you a prescription for cough syrup. does that mean you can go there and add something else to it? Silence speaks volumes!!! If the bible listed all the do”s and dont’s we could never carry it in one hand. You are most welcome to continue this conversation/debate (whatever you want to call it) I will only speak from scripture, and not bring my own opinions and bias into it.
and yes of course there are many other issues affecting the church why should music and dancing escape scrutiny? My bible tells me to test everything. I have done just that. The bible backs up everything I say

I understood quite well what you said. Perhaps you did not understand anything the poster of this blog wrote. It could also be that you did not make yourself clear in what you meant. I have read quite a few posts and in it nothing has ever been said about congregational dancing. According to the poster, dance ministry is composed of a few people who dance in front of others inside or outside of a building (the church house) with a message.
You said you have not once given your opinion, but you also have not once given a scripture to back up anything you are trying to convey. That my friend is opinion. All of the posts I have read on this blog was rightly backed by scripture. My comment is in agreement with what the poster wrote, therefore I agree with the scriptures given. My comment is just that, a comment. I am saying I agree with all that has been written, and that is my position.
The phrase “silence speaks volumes” is relative. The bible is not silent on the topic of praise acceptable to the Lord. Just because it is not mentioned in the NT does not mean it is done away with or that it is not to be done. The bible teaches that ALL scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and instruction for what is right (2 Tim. 3:16). The Psalms, Proverbs and every other book is a part of the ALL scripture this verse is talking about. The entire bible is useful, important and vital so that we will be filled with the knowledge of his will (col. 1:9) and what he expects from us. What God wanted us to have clarity on; he gave it in the scriptures. Anything that was not our concern he did not (Deut. 29:29).
Since you brought it up – the bible gave us clarity as it relates to sacrifices, ordinances and judgments (elements of the Law). Scripture is teaching us that Jesus came to fulfill the Law. This is why the NT teaches us not to follow the Law of Moses, but rather the Law of Christ (who fulfilled the OT law and if we follow the commandment of Jesus, love one another, we have fulfilled it as well- Gal. 5:14 and Matt. 22:40). Evidently, God wanted to make this issue very clear to us because our eternal soul rests upon the finished work of Jesus. Our eternal soul does not rest upon praise by way of instruments, singing or dance. This is something all creation or everything that has breath should always do (Ps. 150:6). The reason has been given in the OT(some is listed in Ps. 150) and it is still valid in the New (Luke 1:47-54; 1Thess. 5:16; Eph. 5:19).
Simply put, we are never to stop praising and worshiping God. God already gave us instruction about praise and worship consisting of 150 chapters. How much more of God’s instruction is needed on the matter? In this wonderful book we are given instructions on how to praise the Lord. The NT took it a step further and teaches us that praise and worship is not only an action done with our mouths (singing), our bodies (dancing and playing instruments), but it is a lifestyle (1Cor. 10:31) and matter of the heart (John 4:24). It is our spiritual act of worship to present our bodies a living sacrifice (Rom 12:1). This means that everything that we do it should be done to the Glory of God. It is a lifestyle (1 Cor 10:31). This is how we love the Lord with all of our hearts, might and strength (Deut. 6:5). We love him by keeping his commandments (John 14:21). God’s commandments is His word, all of it ( OT and NT). Yes there are many things that were done, that are not done anymore (mainly parts of the law which has been defined and explained in the NT), but as it relates to the topic of praising God, what has been already written is for our instruction and we are commanded to keep his Word; all of it. Knowing what to do and what not to do anymore comes by way of studying and rightly dividing the word (2 tim 2:15). The bible never told us, and never will tell us not to praise the Lord. We praise each other, we clap for each other, and we dance with our children, loved ones (I danced at my daughter’s wedding. Why can’t I give God a dance of praise if I wanted to?). We all have favorite songs we like to sing and move to (dance, tap the foot, and nod the head). Singing and dancing is a way of expressing how we feel. God gave that expression to us. We were created in His likeness. How hypocritical (not calling you one, just saying, we do these things on occasion in our everyday lives, but when we offer to God these same appreciations and praises (who is higher than our fellow man ) it all of a sudden becomes unscriptural. We sometimes as the poster said in one of her post “over spiritualize” things. We take things so small and blow them up and make them an issue just because it’s not our cup of tea.
Let’s obey the word of the Lord and let’s stop trying to pick arguments/debate/find fault with one another about how we as individuals want to show God our appreciation and gratitude with the talents that He has put in side of us. May God open your understanding to His Word.

When praise dancing, is it biblical to cover feet? Is it wrong to dance barefoot? Does it send the wrong message to dance barefoot?
Hello Jeanette,
Dancing with your feet covered or uncovered is your preference and should be in accordance to the rules or dress code at your church. You should ask your pastor what is acceptable for that ministry. The bible never really describes if anyone danced with their foot covered or uncovered. IMO I really don’t think it matters. In some cases it is a common sense thing. For instance, if the floor is slippery, you should not wear socks (barefoot or dance shoes is appropriate ). If you are dancing on carpet with concrete underneath (this is how most churches are built), most dancers wear dance shoes because you can injure your ligaments jumping/dancing on that type of surface over time without proper support. My advice to you is to check with your leaders and see what they prefer. I hope this helps.
